    Default Inbuilt Bluetooth Car Kit

    Hi,

I guess I am being completly thick, but need help to resolve the issue. I have a Vectra, with colour sat nav and bluetooth connection through the sat nav screen. Its all working fine apart from voice tags. I have tried to setup some voice tags so when I press the button on the wheel i can just say the name, but for the life of me I cannot get it working. Whenever I go to press the button, say phonebook, it then says no voice tags present. I then say save, it then says say the name and number to save voice tag. I do that but it keeps cancelling on me. Is there not a simple way to say the name and connect it to a contact in the address book.

    Hope you can help

    Thanks D

The system can be a bit fussy, especially if there is background noise. If it doesn't hear one of the expected commands it will default to cancel.

    The correct sequence is:

    1. Press the bluetooth button.
    2. After the beep state, "Save"
    3. System asks you for the name.
    4. After stating the name it will ask for the number
    5. It will the repeat the number and then ask, "And now?"
    6. State, "Save".

If during the process it says, "pardon?" it's picking up noise in the background.

The voice tags have to be set up seperately from the phone's own contact details although it will display the name when a call is made where the contact is in both.

Cheers for that, I had tried all the things you suggested, but it would not have it, retried and all is fine now
