Has anyone driven an ecoFLEX CDTi 160 Insignia?
Just wondered if it's significantly different to drive than the standard 160 diesel engine.

Apparently the changes are lowered suspension, low rolling resistance tyres, aero tweaks, a shift indicator, an engine overboost feature. So far normal for the eco version. But most significantly a higher final drive and shortened 1st & 2nd gears.

It's the final drive & gearing changes which worry me - they can maintain the 0-60 time with the lower 1st & 2nd gear but does it feel gutless and overgeared in all the higher gears? Visions of changing down on every slight motorway incline in 5th and 6th.

Love to hear from someone on here who's driven both the standard and ecoFLEX types!
