Default Help fitting XP rear Splitter...

Well i've just got my XP rear splitter and defuser back from the bodyshop all sprayed up and ready to fit...

Now, does anyone have any tips, do i attach the defuser first and the the XP skirt or do i put the skirt on then the defuser?

Any advice or even pics would be great, tried to find a how 2 but dont think anyone has done one.

tiger seal the lower skirt onto the bumper once you have fitted the lower diffuser. imho it is easier to do it that way cos i know folk who have said it's a nightmare to fit the diffuser with the lower skirt already in place..

Ahhh thanks for the advice! I will fit the defuser first and then put the skirt on and hopefully that will be the best way of doing it. Does the defuser have to be bonded on?

rear diffuser just pushes into the bumper and lock's with tab's that are on it, (it will be a tight fit, i used an old knife to release the old one) there might be a few holes to drill in the very end pieces so they can have the push rivet's in them....

Did you get these parts fitted?
The reason I'm asking, is that a local bodyshop fitted my xp rear spoiler and didn't do a great job.
He said that it was the best that it would go on, as my rear bumper in not brand new!!

Put it back, and they filled up the gaps with sealet and flashed over it.
    NOT HAPPY

The skirt is quite flimsy and should follow any contour with ease, seems like they just spent 5 mins chucking it on - i'm gutted for you mate.

Did they paint it on the car? Thats not good mate. Its painted separately then fitted, that looks a right mess. If I understand you rightly they have filled the gap and sprayed over it? If so I fear your going to suffer cracks and in time pealing of the paint. With it all being plastic it moves quite alot and filling gaps it tempting fate IMO.

i got a blue VXR bumper which i need to paint silver, wouldnt cost much extra to get the whole bumper sprayed without splitting it because it seems like a bit as a B to get off. So two options?

    1) split it, get it all sprayed and have the problem of getting it all flush putting it back together?

    2) Get it all sprayed together, the bits you cant see will still be blue, but it will be flush?

    What do we think??

The holes been filled up and 'flashed' over. Was told that the whole skirt was removed and bonded on again. Load of crap. I know that the skirt hasn't been removed.
I'll post up pictures of the front bumper tonight.
    That had some issues too.
Feel like gettin rid of the car now. Can't stand to look at it!!!
