    Default bad service website

does anyone know of a website that names and shames companies, businesses etc ,as if there isnt i feel this would be a very good idea as im becoming increasingly p155ed off at the lack of service that i receive and not just vauxhall dealers .i think that you just dont get good service from loads of places and think that if these people were named and shamed then maybe just maybe they might buck up there ideas and provide the services that they are supposed to provide.

but what if you do it in such a way that you dont actually mention the name of the company, but drop heavy hints as to who you are referring too.

This kind of forum is actually one of the best ways to go about it.

Also, if the dealer is part of a network, then speak to someone from the customer service department at their head office, then find out who is their parent company, most big networks are part of a group these days. You could always complain direct to Vauxhall, i'm sure there must be someone on here with a name or email address for one of their top bods.

There's no legal reason why you can't say that you've had poor service (in your opnion) from a company - and name them - as long as you stick to the facts. If you start saying that XYZ company are a load of &*£$%& and that the manager is a £$%*&$# then you'll be opening yourself up to the other party sueing you for libel.

If you just stick to the facts - XYZ company did/didn't do this with my car, took it back etc. etc. and give the facts and your opinion that they didn't do a good job, then they can't do anything.

True, but as long as you stick to the facts and don't libel anyone you'll be fine. They may not like what you say, but they can't do anything about it.

Indeed. People usually only bring things up/contact companies when they have a complaint. I try to make a point of also writing to companies if I've had really good service.

I've personally just done it after a trip to Canon's Service Centre. I arrived there (after a two hour drive) to find that a lens that should have been laid aside hadn't. The receptionist went out of her way to help me out (ringing people at home etc.) and so I wrote in to the Big Chief commending her. I'm about to do the same with my Vx dealer (write to the MD praising the continuing good service they give).

People are often quick to complain, but not to praise or say thank you. (Not saying you are BTW, but in general). It's nice for companies to be told when they are doing it right.
