    Default Here's something interesting.

    Get this regarding re-maps.

If you go into your dealer with engine and or transmission faults/failures if may be worth reading this.

Owners of all VXR cars and all non VXR cars that look to be modified will be told that the ECU will be removed and sent to Thorney Motorsport to check if the ECU has been re-mapped. This cost is £200.

If the customer denies that the car is re-mapped and it is proven that it is, the customer will be given the £200 bill and the warranty claim will be turned down.

If the ECU is proven to be standard, then Vauxhall will cover the cost of the check and the warranty claim.

It will be interesting to see how this pan's out.

    hmmm,

nice to see the dealers /manufacturers being a trusting bunch

i appreciate they dont want to be paying out for non manufacturing defects but....
where has that info come from ???

and if they send an ecu and its proved to not be remapped - who's going to foot the bill ???

0-Large smile ......every time it's driven

    From my post above.......

If the ECU is proven to be standard, then Vauxhall will cover the cost of the check and the warranty claim.

Since Thorney Motorsport have been setting up dealers to supply and fit Thorney Performance upgrades, Vauxhall have become twitchy!

Do you get BSR/bluefin for the VXR? Reverse the re-map before you take it in
