Starting bang/rattle then dies? 1.9cdti

my car has 62k 07 reg and just outside warranty. today had few problems starting.

I try to start the car and it judders and makes a horrible rattle and feels like the engines jumping out of the engine bay and doesnt start, 2nd time it will start ok? its happened about 7-8 times today? does this sound like starter motor problems or more serious?

Also do you think vxl will pay out or not?

It sounds like starter moter i had same problem had it changed perfect now
