    confused Central locking

Hi all strange problem noticed the range on my fob was getting closer before the car unlocked , so replaced the battery tonight in the required time went outside to open car from the bottom of my stairs as i usually do and nothing not a blip i have to stand just under a meter away from the drivers door before it unlocks remotely with the fob. tried to resync the key using the ingition 2 press lock button but that didn't work tried what it said in the manual by turning key in lock towards front of car and return to vertical will sync the key still have the same problem , i don't think it has lost sync spare key is the same but i swapped the battery over from the spare key to my main key could this be the problem do i need to do anything additional, also a fresh set of batteries hasn't helped why has it lost it's range.

quick update seems to be working ok now, at the shopping center i unlocked my car from roughly 25-30 meters and did the same at another center but when i parked the car in my street same again had to stand about 1 meter too the car before it responded, there must be some sort of interference in the street that wasn't ther before. glad it is just in my street.

try touching your chin with the key - you may look silly but it seems to increase the range considerably - by another 10 - 15 meters in my case
