Any thick grease (wheel bearing grease etc) will do buddy although you will probably still have to do the spring mod
where can i get the stuff from for the mod, because 2 of my vx dealers aint hurd of it
remeber tradtional grease is corosive when it is exposed to the air / rain ....so i would use a syntetic grease .......
Yeah but easier to jack the car up first, they go at the bottom of the spring so if they are there you'll see them
ok bud cheers for that, if car dont have them fitted are they easy to DIY? and is it worth putting grease on at the sametime as the mod covers? (vx should do this free off charge if its a problem)
im guessing i dont have them fitted because checking the MOT history its had a new spring fitted and i dont think it was vx who fitted it so i think it was a backstreet garage and they never fitted this mod or the spring they fitted dont have the mod but the right side does because they only replaced left spring, am i right in saying its best to replaced both springs at the same time enev tho one might be ok?

It's good practise to renew both at the same time, you'd need spring compressors to do this job mate, probably best left to a garage. Shouldn't cost much as the springs don't need to be removed
thanks for the info john, i was expecting them mods to cost £££ but £2.50 each i dont mind that and if it does fix the problem ill be pleased
