After reading the thread with regards to the Insignia washer jets, i felt it must be worth a go for a couple of quid.

Popped into vauxhall this evening and gave them the part numbers, they had them in stock. Haded over a fiver and got changed, very impressed.

Came home bring out the tool box.
    items required.
    1 flat blade screw driver
    13mm socket wrench.

    removed the wipers,
    removed the scuttle panel
    disconnected the water jet pipes
    popped out the washer jets

fitted new washer jets and refitted as removed
    hey presto

    30 minutes start to finish

    results.

Wow what a difference. no longer 2 rubbish jets from each washer, a really effective fine spray which covers the whole screen and washers far better than before.

Excellent mod, well worth doing, fully recommend to anyone thinking about doing it.

Did mine too. Only i just lifted the panel up and popped the old jets out and put in the new ones. Total time 4mins. I do agree that the spray is much better and i emptied the washer bottle testing them out

No need to remove wipers at all. Just lift scuttle panel and push the jets down.

Agree on not removing the wipers, that is the hard way

i looked at doing it without removing the wipers and the scuttle panel, but each washer jet is help in by a little clip which you need to push back to get them out, and i have a knack of breaking things when using too much force, so i took the safe route.

agreed, you can do this with out removing the panel, i guess i'm just cautious.

End result is the same, a nice clear screen at long last, for less than a fiver. cheapest most noticeable mod ever.

cheers to the original poster who found this out.

Yep, CristianTM really did find a juicy cheap mod to do with this!

Did mine yesterday, but preferred the knuckle scrape and a mug of hot water to loosen off the old jets.

Predictably, I emptied my washer bottle within minutes.
