Default Replacing my GID with a CID

    Hi

I am currently looking into changing my head unit to a double din touch screen model with sat nav. At the same time I was thinking that I would like to replace the GID with a CID, and display the SatNav on that also. I have seen a few threads regarding the CID taking an AV input, and thought that this might be the way to go.

I have found a CID on Ebay, but to be honest Im unsure whether it will work in my car (2003 Vectra SRI). I am new to this so i'm not 100% sure what is meant by the CID being unpaired/unmarried/tech 2'd etc. Would somebody please be able to explain to me (in simpleton terms!!)?

The CID is here : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-Vectr...d=p3286.c0.m14

    Any help/guidance would be appreciated.

    Cheers

yep that will fit your car..

Weather if it will take a external input i dont know. but wouldt be much use if no NCDC to control thescreen, as the radio controls all funktions of the screen.

basically the head unit and display are "married" to each other when fitted
unless they get a "divorce" (Tech 2 to unpair them from each other) they wont work independantly so might not be the bargain you were thinking of unless this has been accomplished by a vx garage or someone with the necessary vx decoding hard/software
