confused now the nights are drawing in

its becoming more and more obvious how dangerous the dip beam lights are on the siggy
already completed bulb upgrades and "height adjustment" mods still very very bad

so i've bitten the bullet and ordered my Hids from hids direct

hopefully they will be here tomorrow so i can fit them at the weekend
my only concern is that thier advert has changed - they used to list the specific kit complete with bulb holders - but now for .04pence cheaper there no longer listed and the advert states that you may need special bulb holders - BUT they dont list them on their site

has anyone purchased a set from hids direct recently and did the bulbs fit correctly or did you need to buy adaptors

    thanks in advance

well i phoned hids direct after having no repsonse to my initial question posted yesterday.

and i was pleased to hear the woman tell me that as the kit is designed for a vauxhalls then it would have everything it needs to get you up and running

kit arrived in less than 24 hours from order and very pleased - but...........

no bulb holders in the box -

so be warned have not supplied them even though they said they would!!

and i cant get an answer on the phone now ,so i've sent them an email ... so earliest i will now get a reply is tomorrow - earliest i expect to recieve bulb holders will be monday- so that means i have no dip beam covers till they send my bulb holders as i've already cut and sealed them ready for fitting to the harness

oh well you live and learn -

I cut my original holders mate, I found that the ones supplied had too much of a gap and didn't fit right

I've not made any adjustments to mine, and I've not even fitted the Philips Vision Plus which I had fitted to my previous Vectra B
I simply clean the headlamps every day, works for me
However I have noticed that the material is now badly pitted from stonechips and I may have to replace the headlamps

John, i did consider this as an option but was concerned about ruining them as well and having nothing left -

what miffs me is taking the time to phone and ask if they would be supplied... and being told that they would be supplied and then NOT being supplied just puts my nose out of joint as i was really looking forward to being able to see where i was going

I've noticed this too and wonder how possible it would be to just change the plastics at the front. The dark headlights have a big premium over the chrome one on ebay.

nope - unfortunately replacement lamp units are sealed and decent quality second hand ones are few and far between
