    Default vectra c/vectra vxr springs

    hi all could somebody explain what the differnce is between the two as i can get hold of some vxr springs and shocks,would they fit my vec c sri 2.2 and would the car sit lower than the standard springs on the sri

    It wont sit any lower as your SRI will have the lowered sport springs (15mm) but as far as im aware the struts are better quality but i could be wrong

    The engine will weigh more in the VXR plus it has more equipment so the whole car weighs more. The springs will be firmer to compensate so the car will actually sit higher than a stock VXR because there is less weight pushing the car down, exactly the same as putting GSi springs on it. VXR's also have the sport button so the shocks are totally different as there adaptive and retro fitting them to work properly would probably cost 100 if not in the thousands

    cheers people,can anyone tell me what would be the best and lowest, lowering springs to get that will allow 18inch alloys to sit nicly in the arches,and if youve got a pics rushy

    pi springs have a drop of 45mm so u would get an extra 15mm drop from standard.

    or get coilovers but your talking lots of pounds.

    Sorry mate, I'm running SRi 17's with stock springs. This is a pic of Leeds Vectra's Vec with VXR 18's and Koni springs. (30mm)
