    Default Kangaroo Juice !!!

Is it just my driving or is this a common fault?

When I set off and the car is cold (1,8 VVTi) in 1st gear I get a huge amount of juddering, just like a Newbie Driver. ‘20 years before you ask’ anyway is there something I can do, do I have a problem with my clutch or do I just have to give it a bit more revs when it’s cold?

    Your response it eagerly awaited!

Mine does the same, believe alot of people got them changed under warranty. But dont know if it fixed the problem though. Just wanted you to know your not alone, and yeah I'm just gentle with it and give it some more revs.

If its not the clutch, not sure if the Vectra's have an engine mount? I know my megane and my fiance's punto, the engine mount was a bit worn which replicated this type of fault i think?

    Thanks

alot of vecs with the 1.8 have had this problem, me included.

from what i can remember it something to do with the clutch material used and vauxhall have been changin them under warrenty.

i tried to get mine down , but by the time vauxhall had recognised the problem my car was out of warrenty and they want about £600 for a new clutch.

also some people have said the flywheel may also need changin as th ejudderin could of caused uneven wear.

Common fault. Mine is worse when reversing uphill. Probably clutch and dual mass flywheel. Couldnt get stealers to change mine under warranty with 21k on clock. Quoted £1023. Dont be tempted to only replace clutch (£600) waste of time, they both need to be replaced

HOW MUCH Don't suppose they would do mine under the warranty then? 100,000, 2 previous owners on a 2006 Is it a case of putting up with it then

These engines have a solid flywheel and not dual mass. Vx charge stupid money for a clutch change. Just get the bits from eurocarparts and get your local garage to change them over
