Just got a tin of custom spray paint and some blank eyebrows - I'm a total novice never painted anything on a car in my life - at the risk of sounding like an idiot, what do I do with it, do I need primer or laquer or what?

David you need to get some plastic primer and rough them up a little with about a 1000 grit wet and dry just to get a good bond on the primer.Do two good coats of primer then leave to dry.Flat of again with some 1500 wet and dry but do this with some water.Dry them off then start your top coat.I did 3 coats then flat off again when dry using 1500 again with water this gives a nice shine on your last coat spray last coat on then leave to dry.If its a metallic colour you will need to laquer
