    Default creaking from the front

hi everyone new here, got myself a vectra c friday the 2.0dti 2005 prefacelift one

the only fault i can say about it is

when going over a speed hump the ones that cover the whole road when coming down them it creaks like mad, ive read about the radiator mounts ive sprayed them with wd40 tonight but ill have to see if that does the trick, the cars just passed MOT 24th Aug 2009 cars been sitting for 6 weeks at dealer ship, any ideas on what it could be?

Could be its needs sleeves on the front springs, i had mine done under warranty and now it dosent creak.

Try putting some grease spray at the bottom of the springs that can help.

    Exclamation

I had a similar creaking noise on mine. It was a crack in the top part of the suspension mount. Eventually the centre shaft of the strut broke through the top mount and whacked into the bonnet.
When I opened the bonnet (to find out what the noise was) the right-hand
side strut centre shaft slowly lifted up out of the front wing.

If was pretty cheap to fix. Got new top plates for the top mounts fitted at the local car repair place. The guy that fitted them said the new ones were thicker and strong than the original ones.

I was lucky that I was only doing 5mph - and the bonnet was not damaged.

The left side mount was cracked too.

Mine is a 2003 - so hopefully yours has the new design but you might want to check. Maybe someone more knowledgeable then me will post the answer.

Right..the main culprit for the noise you have when going over speed bumps.
1/Front anti roll bar bushes....cheap fix, can diy if your allright with the spanners..look for the How To.

2/Front drop link bushes....again cheapish fix,and a doddle to do.

    3/ Rad mounts...as above.

    4/ Front springs shagged.

    5/ Front shockers knakered.

Start from number 1 above and work your way down the list until it's fixed...GL.
