    Default working on a how2...

    Hi guys

    thought i wanted to start a thead about my putting in a NCDC2013 with CID instad of my CDR2005 and GID.

    Need to find a satnav arial that fits! anyone know what will fit for sure? that can be bought via ebay..

    Exchange the CDR2005/CCR2006 to NCDC2013 (with CID)

    If you have CDR2005/CCR2006 with a TID you first have to follow Bigmac guide to exchange that part. You find the guide here: http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70769

    The difference here is Wiper stalk is NOT needed to do the CID as you do with the GID.

    But these bits are needed to do this mod:

    CID
    NCDC 2013
    Satnav arial
    12 pin plug
    Some pins to fit in the 32pin plug and for the miniISO in the back of the stereo.

    As I donít have such a 12 pin plug, but did have a Drivers door loom at hand.. The plug that goes to the switch matches expensive to buy but I had to change my anyway.. or visit a scrapper to get one, preferable with about 30-40 cm of wire on. And also a SOT led (same as if you wanted to put in e.g. A hands free phone kit).

    I didnít want to replace the roof Arial, but just got one on ebay. (the one I have donít fit..)

    Hereīs a picture of all the bits thatís going in the car.

    Well how is it all going to be wired up.. theres a german site where its all explained.. also for other radios ect. http://www.motor-talk.de/forum/-tut-...5-t763568.html (dont think google translation can do it all....)

    So far i know via Bigmac that:

    Pin 9-11 on the back of my GID needs to be removed (not cut if i want to revert at a later datte)

    cdr2005 -- > Pin 27 --> Diag 8 this needs to be put into diag pin 12 (theres all ready a wire there so will just tap into it, or go via the CID pin 14)

    Pin 19 of GID/CID -> Pin 33 of Radio (notice that also have pin25 of the radio)
    Pin 20 of GID/CID -> Pin 32 of Radio
    Pin 30 of GID/CID -> Pin 29 of Radio
    Pin 19 of GID/CID -> Pin 25 of Radio
    Pin 14 of GID/CID -> pin 27 of radio (the current pin 27 on the radio goes to the pin8 in the diaport, the new need to go to pin12. but problaly going via the CID as it allready have connection to pin12 in the diag.

    Then you have to do the RGB plug

    6 wires

    1 --> Navi 18 (needs to remove current pin18 in radio, dont cut them)
    2 --> Navi 17
    3 --> Navi 24
    4 --> Navi 30
    5 --> Navi 19 (needs to remove current pin19 in radio, dont cut them)
    6 --> Navi 31

    pin18-20 on the radio is pin 9-11 on the GID. you could choose just to rewire them.. but in using the SOT lead to change it arround, so i dont have to remove it from the radio isoplug.

    I havnt checked to see what pins that current is on the back of my GID, but as i have ECC i might need to tap in to some extra wires..

    but helps is very much welcome.. when all done it will be a how2

    Apologies for asking, but I have only worked on full can radios with the fakra connector...could you post a picture up of your radio plug...it may be a simple matter of a conversion / adaptor lead from ebay!!

    I did something like this to use my normal aerial on my Fakra plugged radio (CD70).

    Just a matter of knowing the name of the plugs you want...ISO, DIN, FAKRA, RCA and so on..

    Hi Robsey

    yes i know you did it on the CD70 but theres not a "extra" lead for the NCDC as it uses the normal "ISO" on the back of the NCDC and looks like this http://home.btconnect.com/nickargue/...0Connector.JPG where all goes through.

    my actual radio plug: (thats missing the leads for the new radio and cid)

    Don't know if THIS is any good for you mate. There might be a little info in one of the links that might help.

    Just a thought, don't the half-can sat nav radios use a separate satnav receiver in the rear off-side wing, and this is where the aerial plugs into.
    A small loom then runs along the off-side sill to the drivers footwell, where all the looms and aerial wires meet before going upto the head-unit.

    TIS only shows this set-up and I believe is similar to that used in the Omega B.

    From what I remember from my 2003 Signum, there was an ISO connector (phone in my case) to a plug behind a kick panel on the front right where it connected to the aerial plugs. From what I recall the GPS aerial was mounted on the right at the rear.
    As Robsey says could just be a case of identifying the pins the sat nav aerial connects to and acquiring or making an ISO to Fakra lead so you can connect a GPS antenna.

    You can get 2 ways... the hatch/saloon and Signum, you can have a seperate GPS unite thats used with onstar (something if you have a accident it will make the call and tell where you are)

    But thats not for the estate...

    but if you only want navigation, then its just the headunit. When you look at TIS.. "ignore" the GPS and only look at NAV....

    Most guides ive found sofar is only without ECC what i have read is that when you dont have ECC you add the 2 wires to the CID (think it was 19 and 20 on the CID) but when you have ECC it should go to the righthand plug of the ECC (not sure about this yet)
