    Default 235/40/18 Tyres...

...anyone have them...? 225/45/18 is the offical VX size, but as with teh 17" tyres they're a lot more expensive than the 225/4/18 people usually go for. The 235mm wide ones are slightly closer to the original size, and as far as I can tell are the maximum you can fit to the 18" multispokes, although I'd have to check the rim width as I believe the ones I have came off an Astra...

I'd be interested to know if anyone has them before I order a set...

I had them and a few others run them. Nothing wrong with the size for fittament - although check on your rim width.

I never looked at the price in comparision to the 225/45/18's but I paid £220ish for a pair of dunlop sp sport maxx and loved them, dispite what others may say
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

To compare, there's about a 20 squid difference per tyre between the 225/45 and 235/40 - obviously the wider the tyre the better... Will mention it to insurance company as well I think, jsut in case...

I have bought the same wheels as on your signum with 225/45 but they need 2 new tyres, was actually thinking of changing them for 235/40. A shop on ebay has 4 Falkens FK-452 for £345 where as 2 in 225/45 are around £200.
