Ive signed up with them for the year for my 1.9CDTI (150). Hit 60k and wanted some peace of mind. Havent had to use them yet though...touch wood!

Atleast WarrantyWise dont bombard you with calls and emails like Warranty Direct do.

I have a plan with them that was organised by the car supplier and to date I have not had to use it, and hope that I haven't. Most of these warranty companies will not pay if they can get out of it, especially where they can class the breakdown as being due to wear and tear - it has to be a catastrophic breakage, this is their wriggle out. When you think about, most things that go wrong are due to being used, they wear and cease to work as they should.

I should add that Warrantywise do say in their blurb that they don't do this and cover items that wear out and fail.

Have any members used Warrantywise and do the step up to the mark?

Warranty wise are much better no excess and cover all parts and electronic modules including the CIM. Warranty direct do not and they also charge you an excess for each part they replace, my excess was £50 per claim and although both rear drop links were changed because they were not physically connected 2 x £50 excesses removed from the payout. Just remeber how many electronics modules you have on a Vectra/Signum and none are covered by warranty direct, I know I got caught in the small print.

I've a warranty with my car, not the one mentioned above though.

Will find out if I can make a claim for the air con condensor on Tues. If it's corroded then yes, if damaged by a stone hitting it (more likely) then no claim.

ive been looking into these guys too and got a quote of £300 for 12 months for the platinum cover, i'm just thinking whether to take it out or not.....it would give me peace of mind and they sound really good especially with being backed by Quentin Wilson
