Gear knob falls off

The gear knob on our Signum falls off, has anyone tried using araldite or another adhesive to try and keep it in place? Or is there another fix for it?

I've had the problem for a while. I usually just 'thump' it back on and it stays for fixed for about two months before working free again.

I used a small blob of silicone, very underrated adhesive.

yeah the one on my SRi has fallen off a few times, just used izonoky's approach and thumped it on again, takes a while until it comes off again

Yep mine is the same so what do you think about a bit of thread lock, that’s my plan next time as then it’s not a permanent fixture just in case I need it off!

Yep - mine fell off too (55plate 1.9CDTi SRi 150). I used some 'Tiger Seal' polyurethane adhesive to stick it back on and it certainly won't fall off again! I wouldn't use Araldite as it's rigid when cured so may be prone to cracking. Ideally, IMHO, you need something with a bit of 'give' in it like Silicone or Tiger Seal etc.
