Discoloured Indicator

My 1.9dcti just passed the MOT with a recommendation that the offside rear indicator is discoloured. Both look the same to me. Can anyone explain and what I should do.

They are yellow bulbs 581
Replace both rears or all four
The offside ones tend to go first, lasting between two and three years
When you remove worn ones you will see the yellow paint is flaking and breaking up, giving the white colour, and eventually they go completely white
Tend to be quite expensive so search around, should be about £2.50 for two, one retailer I know of charges nearly £5 per bulb!

If you are using eBay UK then make sure they are genuine
Quite a few I have seen are "home made" with just yellow paint that will last just a few days!

Search description "581 bulb"
I paid £2.38 for two which arrived two business days later
