My mate has bought new wing mirrors with indicators & they have 3 wires, blue, black & white. Does anyone know what colour these connect too?

He really should have got some instructions with the mirrors, other wise it's a bit Russian roulette !!!
If the mirror only has indicators in it though, I cant understand why there are three wires ???
Do the mirrors have another function ??? Like are they heated or something ???
Either way it would be a complete guess at what each colour is most likely to be for, though the black is most likely to be the negative or earth connection. (don't blame me if it isn't !!! )
Are they electric mirrors? if so this would explain the three wires. live+earth for the motor & live for the indicator
Yes they are electric, they are universal but i told him universal means it wont fit anything!Originally Posted by Pioneer
thought you need more wires for the motors than just power and an earth, at least two power wires and an earth
must admit ,the word universal puts the fear of god into me, do they actually fit?
Dnt think they do lol, hes going to try & get his money backOriginally Posted by vectrapogo
They probably have side lights and indicators in them if there's 3 wires.... I saw some like this the other day.... permanent sidelights when the headlights are on, then different bulbs flashing for the indicators... I thought they were quite trick, but couldn't tell the driver that as he was a bit angry with me!!!!!!
They are chrome m6 style. Think they are branded vr styling or something like that.
