    Default Clutch/Gearbox problem

I have a 06 plate 2.2 direct elite petrol , I have noticed purely by chance that when changing gear from 2 - 3 and 3 - 4 there is a very very small crunch.
I only noticed this because the radio was off and I had both front windows open, but now because I have noticed this problem it is the only way I drive and with winter coming I need to get it resolved before I catch hypothermia.
Does anyone know what this is, and is it the start of anything major

First thing I would try is a clutch fluid flush and gearbox oil change. You may find that cures it completely, or at least make it better.

Are you sure it affects the gears you've mentioned? There's a known fault with the F40 transmission that it crunches a little when going from 1st to 2nd when the gearbox is cold, and then when it's warmed up it does it from 2nd to 3rd. Shouldn't affect 4th. If it's as I've described, Vauxhall's fix is to remove the 3.2 litres of oil that are in the gearbox and replace it with 2.4 litres, (you can't just remove 0.8 litres, as there's no dipstick for measuring the level). However, Vauxhall also say that if the gearbox already only has 2.4 litres in it, then there's no further fix available.

Mines like this on the CDTI 150. Exactly as you menion it.

4th 5th 6th all fine. 1st and 2nd groggy when cold, as are 2nd to 3rd when warmer.
