    Default speed dial adjustment

does any of you guys know if it it possible to adjust speed gauge to work with a specific background, eg if i put a background which has top speed of 260 or 280 instead of 240, is it possible via tech2 or somehow else to adjust the needle to show the right speed value?

Funny you should say that mate as A member just got his SRi back and when it went in it had 170mph clocks and when it came out it had 160mph clocks, so it must be possible for the dealer to do it.

I would think there will be different speedo units available with different speed cards (miles only, KM only, miles & km) as well as differing speed ranges - lower top speed for lower trim levels/smaller cars, higher top speed for top end and high performance models.
I'd assume the card and drive unit will be matched for calibration purposes. But I'm only guessing.

rushy, do you maybe know if they've changed the whore dash unit , all clocks or he has just modified the background as i think if you swap complete clocks there is no need for any tech2 as they are already calibrated to work how they are supposed to but i'd leave the clocks alone and just change what's written under the needle

handyandy, well i guess that if i swap for the opc (vxr) clocks they would work just fine, but if they've managed to get those to work up to 300kmh maybe they are just a few clicks away from enabling me to have the same thing..

I think they swapped the whole unit to try and fix a fault. Let me try and look for the thread.

If you got a card you could line it up and see if the numbers line up with just the extra tacked onto the end?
