    Default The Great Freeview ReTune

    Anyone lost their picture yet?

I look after the digital switchover programme at work and have sent out lots of info to warn our helpdesk to expect problems. So far 1 hour in and not had a single call!

    Has it affected YOU??

well I thought if you don't retune you only lose channel Five? (and some folk ITV3, ITV4)?

Seems like a good motivation not to bother retuning!

More than just losing C5 I think.

In some cases you could lose loads which is why its a retune and not just new channels which most new sets seem to pick up automatically.

NB sky and cable not affected.

The stuff I read said you'd lose C5 until you retune. And a certain minority will lose ITV 3 & ITV 4 permenantly. They are just shifting a couple of things round to make space in the spectrum for HD broadcasts.

I personally have Virgin Media so it doesn't affect me.

Supposidly nothing should have changed before today!

If you need to retune as I understand it its a start from scratch job. Some early boxes wont work though see http://www.tvretune.co.uk/ for info.
