i have nor reverse lights, have checked all the fuses none have blown, checked the mount on the gearbox, the plug part and its getting no power, we put power to it, and they still didnt come on.

also my cruise control isnt working. the light doesent even come on the dash when i start the car.

Not sure the light is supposed to come on when you start it - CC - have you checked the brake and clutch switches are not sticking?
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

The info in the handbook is wrong. I've yet to see a Vectra-C CC light come on as a check light when the key is first turned.

One of the usual culprits is a weak clutch pedal return spring. Try lifting the pedal up with your foot to see if the CC then works.

Also, the brake pedal needs to be pressed to wake up the CC at the start of a journey. Once pressed, the CC should then work until you switch off and restart the engine.

If the Vec C is same as most other vaux then the reversing light switch is normally open to an earth. This means that when you select reverse the switch contacts are made and the switch earths. To test the switch simply unplug the connector on the switch and bridge the connection with a paperclip or something similar. This must be done with ignition on. If yours lights now come on then the switch is faulty

Sounds really stupid and simple, so apologies in advance, but have you checked the two reversing bulbs haven't blown? One may have gone without you noticing and now the second has you may have noticed?

One my last car one headlight bulb popped 24hours after the other did!!! REALLY hacked me off that did lol

sure he would have got a warning about the bulb if it had blown? maybe the reverse light switch is knackered? had to replace one on my Mk4 Astra before.
