Default Conkers stop spiders - True or False?

I heard somewhere last week that putting a conker in each corner of each room will stop spiders from coming into the house.

Is it true and does it work, also do they have to be this years conkers?

HOW does this work if it does? OR does it make them come in that much more?

I cant remember for the life of me where I heard, I think it was on a radio station!

My wife would be intrigued to know about this!

I think you'll find they can walk around the conkers

Its a little known fact the conkers are actually very slow moving predators. They carefully creap up on spiders and envelop them
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

lol.. maybe its not the conkers that keeps the spiders out of the boats... maybe its something to do with all the water around it ... fpmsl

suppose it depends on how accurate you are with the conker and how quick the spider is moving

My nanna told me this, have tried it in our bathroom as the last spider i had to remove for the mrs was a good 6 inches big, and that was not out stretched lol The joys of living on a farm!

I have not put a conker in each corner, but there are a couple in the bathroom, so if we get no more spiders in there, then i guess you could say the "old wives tale" could be true
