Exclamation Putting a "Cat C" car back on the road.

I am unsure of what is needed to put a "Cat C" car back on the road when it has been repaired. Could somebody tell me exactly what I would need to do, such as Vic check etc. Any help would be much appritiated. Chris

    Vehicle : Vectra

    Trim : SRi

    Engine : 150

    Year : 05

    Mileage : 74000

    Default

    1) Obtain car
    2) Repair car
    3) MOT time (no tax or mot needed to drive to prearranged MOT) BUT must be insured ( i used daycover.com or similar)
    4) VIC check (no tax needed) but you must be insured to drive (or trailer it down)

Taking the car for a VIC

When taking the car for a VIC the following must apply:

    * repairs must be conducted and the car must be roadworthy and capable of being driven under its own power
    * if over 3 years old, the car must be covered by a valid MOT if its to be driven to the VIC
    * the person driving the car must be insured to do so the car must display front and rear number plates if its to be driven to the VIC- for assistance in obtaining number plates, contact VOSA on 0300 123 9000
    * a car can be driven directly to and from a pre-arranged VIC without road tax

    5) TAX it
    6) Enjoy it
