Blue Smoke on Startup SRi CDTI 16v Help !

Hi guys
I am very worried that your all going to say valve stem oil seals but here goes !
Car Details
04 Reg Vectra C SRi CDTi 1.9 16v (150)

Problems/Symptoms
1. After the car has been sat for a few hours it pumps out quite a bit of blue smoke on startup. This clears after a few seconds but leaves a smelly pool of blue smoke floating around
2. The car seems to have lost power at lower revs
3. Hesitates/misfires occasionally
4. Sometimes cuts out when pulling up after a drive say at a set of lights. When I put the clutch in it just cuts out.
(Some of these may not be linked)

I have had the car plugged into a OBD and the codes are as follows
P1811 Engine Torque Signal Malfunction
P0190 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Range/Performance
Any Ideas ? I was thinking of getting a new fuel pressure sensor first ? Seems logical (cheapest) place to start
If it is Valve steam oil seals is this something that can be done at home ?

Other sources of blue smoke are commonly from turbo bearing failure.

P0190 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Range/Performance - Symptons are you can feel the engine wanting to die when approaching idle and when you do get to idle engine will cut out. Will take between 3-15minutes before engine can be restarted? I have these symptons and have read a code regarding the pressure sensor plus also read something about this problem on TIS.

Blue smoke on startup for approx 5 mins or so. Bit of bluey smoke i'd guess is the the valve stems (also have this problem) after warmup runs ok though?

Lack of power at lower revs could be swirl valve/EGR problem.

Hesistates/Misfires - Is this during acceleration or on partial load acceleration? Had an EGR problem where it would jerk (felt like a misfire on part load) on cruising, also note injector 3 wiring problem but this would present with a misfire during all revs and will sometimes give an EML whilst doing it.

Cheers Plasma the fuel pressure sensor symtom are exactly as you have described ! Once cuttout it takes a couple of mins to start up ! So will a new sensor fix it ?

Well its been a while and my cars getting worse to the point that its now off the road. Its hardly accelerating at all and kicking out lots of smell smoke then suddenly stops and back to normal but then does it again 2 mins later.

The fuel pressure sensor part no is BOSCH 0281 002 534 but at the dealers its £130 ! can it be go elsewhere cheaper ?

I did post up about the cutting out at idle and not always restarting straight away down to the fuel pressure sensor PLUG and not the sensor, worth a shot first
