    Angry High Beam Problem

    hi guys,

    i just had the high beam warning show on the dash, so i checked it and sure enuff the passenger side high beam was not working.

    So i swapped the bulb and its still not working !!

    all other lights are fine..


    confused to say the least, any ideas ??

    Have you checked the fuse?
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    are they seperate ? the drivers side high beam is fine.

    Try swapping the bulb with the one on the drivers side. You will be 100% that bulb is working.

    I have a spare set of bulbs tried both of them and it wont work, and I know both these bulbs are ok.

    does anyone know which fuse it is on a 55 plate facelift vectra c ??

    I am checking the manual but cant find the exact fuse

    Acording to my "book" page 217 says it is fuse no8 front headlights. It seems that they are both on the same fuse?? it is a 10a fuse. it is the fuse box under the bonnet by the battery.

    just checked my book , it was page 241, it says fuse no 8: headlights, windscreen washing nozzles. its a 10 amp. i pulled the fuse but all the lights still work , so it cant be that fuse. fuse looks ok aswell.

    Do you have anyway of checking for voltage at the bulb holder?
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    Could be a bad earth. Clean the contacts of the plug before putting the bulb in.

    That number 8 fuse is for the washer pump, for the windscreen and the headlights, not the ehadlights themselves...
