    Default Unpleasant discovery

    Thought I'd have a look today at the swirl valves given all the talk about it here and lo and behold...bar was off. Valves are all cruddy and a bit stiff to move. Dang. Haven't noticed any flat spots though and she's good power below 2k as well, didn't expect to find the bar off.

    Think I'll try and loosen them off a bit with some degreaseant and do the mod.

    Does kinda mean that there's not much point in remapping her for while, at least until I've replaced the inlet manifold.

    Would seem like a good plan mate - no point it trying to get her up on power if the intake is knackered... Must still be under warranty unless the mileage is off the charts...

    80k mate, so yeah off the warranty chart. I have a Tescos warranty but it's a bit early for that. May price up the parts on trade card and see what the damage is.
