    Default Extended VX/NetworkQ warranty

I consider buying extended warranty for my veccy. However I don't know if it's worth to go with Vauxhall or NetworkQ one? Which one is better? Does any body know, what are the costs of VX and NQ warranty?

    Thanks for advices and comments

Effectively they are the same thing...

The VX warranty covers a new car
In the first year the warranty is comprehensive and no mileage limit
In the second and third years the warranty is limited and up to 60K miles
The car MUST be serviced as per the service schedule and by a VAT registered garage using OE parts (not aftermarket parts)

Network Q is for used cars
As such the car sale MUST be registered through Network Q
Some cars are sold by VX dealerships, but not on Network Q, so check when viewing
There are currently three types of warranty
If the car is under three years old and 60K miles then OE "new car" warranty applies, the Network Q portion then applies should that expire within 12 months
If the car is over three years old and/or 60K miles then a 1 year warranty applies
An extension can be purchased for either of the above, rates are available from dealerships (typically £250 per year, up to 4 years with mileage limits)

One step beyond that is the "Complete Protection Plan"
This converts the OE or Network Q warranty in to a warranty that covers the warranty, servicing, and service parts (such as brakes)
It is expensive at near on £800 for 3 years, but if you are a high mileage driver (like myself) then it is great value for money as servicing and brakes alone will cost that in 3 years
However, when you compare that to a 3 year Network Q extension then effectively the servicing is free!
