sorry just re read not that clear! cvt is continual variable transmission, so gears are running at optimum level normal autos dont have this, just interested!

No idea on the CVT, I think what he meant was that the easiest way to find out if you gear change can be done manually (ie, knock to the left and select up or down) was to look down and see if your car has it...

As for Xenons, no you don't have them mate. if you did, you'd be able to see where you were going...

If you've not got a manual headlight adjust knob by the headlight switch, then yes.

Also when you first switch them on, if they flash very bright briefly and then dim down before becoming bright again, then yes you've got Xenons (HIDs)

Also, you'd have headlight washers, which looking at your avatar you don't... HID kit will give you xenons though - well worth the money...

Could have had hids put in at some point..Thus not having headlight washers...Ull know if you got xenons its just one of those things..If there yelloww then NO if there blue then MAYBE..means either you got xenons or blue lights..Cant really comment without pics

If you look at the transmission selector you have the normal straight down run of positions. If then at the bottom you have an additional cut-out to the left of the main track that you can move the selector into, you might well find that you can push the selector forward and back and in each case it returns to the middle position. I believe this is what you were asking about in your original post. You would push forward to the + marking for a higher gear and back to the - mark for a lower gear. The system is called 'ActiveSelect'.
