    Default Losing Money

I can't believe how much money my car is loosing, it's actually worrying. I've got a 2003 Vectra GSi with every option you can think of. Full leather, Sat Nav, Climate, side rear window blinds, literally every factory fit option has been thrown on it. New it cost over £25000, just looking on Auto Trader and they are selling between £2000 - £4000. It's mental, why do some cars loose so much money? I know having a big engine does put some people off but loosing £21000 in 6 years, can't understand it. What will it be worth in another 2 or so years, £500?

Thing is with deprciation like that it can only go down so far, I would have thought that it will level out and stay at that price for a long time. My theory anyway.

I hope it doesn't loose any more! The crazy thing is the 2.6 GSi Veccy B's are worth more.

Really? That's cheap. They're obviously over priced on Auto Trader. Hopefully that means mine is under priced then? Lol, wishful thinking.

    Barking isn't it
I've read that used car prices are stable as fleets are keeping there cars longer so the used car supply has slowed down...
When and, if this affects cars like us remains to be seen.
I'm waiting for the Cortina becomes a Sierra price drop as the Vec C is not a current model
    That IS a bummer

You'll find now that they have bottomed out. They probably won't drop that much more now over the coming years.

You say a 2003 Vectra GSi cost £25k new....list price maybe, but how many people actually pay list price for a new car, especially Ford's and Vauxhall's. They make that many and stock pile them that the manufacturer's and the dealers are so keen to sell them they always offer discounts on new.
Car supermarkets are full of them. You rarely see Honda's and Toyota's at a car supermarket.

Helps them to retain their 2nd hand value.
