Default Strange noise on my Vec

Any ideas on this one guys....

Its difficult to describe the sound but when driving along at about 40 i can hear a sound coming from near the front nearside wheel arch area, which is like a kind of quick paced thud thud thud as im going along, almost sounding like the tyre is flat (which it obviously isnt) So ive checked the obvious things like tyre pressure, suspension not broken and spring ok, brakes not catching, tracking been done recently, no uneven tyre wear... so dont realy know what to do...

Oh and it actualy gets louder as im going roung a right hand bend ar between 30 to 40mph.

Any thoughts on what this may be and a price to put it right? hope it isnt too expensive.

    Thanks in advance
    Matt

BTW forgot to ask if anyone is interested in perhaps buying my Vec? Not sure what its worth so if anyone can give some advice - its a 1.8 SRi with Nav thats 06 reg and covered 56,500 miles. Some will already know this but its been very well looked after and has all VXR bodykit, 314mm brakes, recently refurbed 19" VXR wheels with good tyres all round, and a SS exhaust which is loud but not too loud and gives a nice sporty tone.

Oh and with regards to the above prblem with it, ill be having that done if i do go ahead with selling it. Thanks for any help guys.

Wheel bearing...? As you go round a right hand bend, it puts an extra side load on it? Saying that, I suppose it could point to the CV joint as all the steering loads would go through that aswell...

My first thought was wheel bearing too. My Sig makes a slight wud wud wud going round a right hand bend but it's not bad enough to replace any time soon. How did you check the wheel bearing? Remove it and take a look?

Sounds like classic wheel bearing symptoms. There doesn't necessarily need to be any play in the wheel yet...

Are your wheel nuts tight enough..? Sounds odd, but this can have this effect, and come sometimes be overlooked!!
