    Default £800+vat for inlet job ne good??

    good news i guess vauxhalls have offered to pay 70% for the inlet manifold job they said the job is normally £800 plus vat does this sound right guys???

    Yes that sounds a good deal. VX dealers from my experience normally only offer 50%.

    cool they said my bill will be about 290 inc not bad for a car out of warranty althou i guess it is a common fault

    Sounds like a bite their arm of scenario if VX's normal offering is anything to go by!

    Still not right, having to pay to clean up their messes though!

    i dont know quote they just said vauxhalls will pay 70% and normally 800 plus vat and id have a bill of just under 300

    It's not their mess, as previous reported on the problem, the part has failed through normal "wear and tear"
    An inlet manifold has a typical life of three to five years, but it should last the longest out of all the exhaust components as it does not have external water or corrosion, just extreme heat

    On completion, make sre the heat shield has been replaced

    and remember if you have made ANY contribution to the repairs then they will have to give you 12 months warranty

    Its an out of warranty repair anyway so it will come with 1 years cover anyway mate.
