    Default Brakes

    Hi there peoples

    How are you ?
    good.....

    i need help with brakes.

    I have a 1.9dcti 150 (08) plate.
The brakes I thought, were, average.
But I took my other halfs Corsa out the other day and the difference was huge!

So that then pushed me to borrow a vectra from a colleague and it showed my brakes really are ******ed.

So do I replace them with standard parts or do i upgrade?

What have you got on your car?
    What is best?
and if possible, how much am I looking at for your preferred choice?

Cheers and have a fab day

Well I'm a big fan of good brakes and although the standard 285s on my vectra are ok, I will be upgrading them to a bigger setup in the future. When funds allow.

I have seen very good things written on this site about the 314 upgrades or even the 304s(?).

Close mate they are 302's. I am about to fit this setup to mine with mintex extreme pads. The 302 setup can be had for about 40-50 quid aswell so well worth the upgrade imo

Ah yeah, I couldn't quite remember the exact size but knew someone would come along who could.

Yeah the discs/pads are the easy bit, it's getting the calipers and carriers that smarts!

I fitted a new VXR 345mm kit a few months ago and the difference in massive! But as said your looking at around £800 to do this, I can get the kits for just under £740 inc VAT.

But if your on a smaller budget, 314mm kits are very good indeed.
