    Default Sound proofing doors....

    I've ordered a load of sound proofing as my n/s doors like to rattle from my speakers etc lol, now I've never sound proofed doors before, where do I need to cover to get the best results?? if you have any pics that would be helpful

    i used strips. 10" by 2" and stuck them any where i could. struts and back of the door.

    on my old astra i put a large square direct to the skin of the door to get rid of the exterior vibration then built up foam around the speaker untill it was near enough wedged beween the card and door frame.

    Depends how far you wanna go. To fully deaden and seal the door then use the website above otherwise deaden around and behind the speaker. See how that works and go from there.

    I think the side air bags trip via preasure in the door (according the vauxhall i'm not sure i believe them) so don't break the moisture barrier!

    Well the doors are stripped, but my sound proofing hasn't arrived yet boooooooooooooooooooooooooo lol





    Gonna try and re-wire all the speakers ready to be connected up to the amp, remembered I had a couple of old door harnasses sat in my garage so I shall be using the speakers plugs off them to attach to the new wire.

    Yay sound proofing finally turned up today, only done the n/s doors for now but can hear a difference between the 2 sides now, sounds far more punchy and no rattles

    No pics though as it was too dark when I did it.

    Lol will try and get some pics at lunch time when I make a start on the other doors, massive difference in loudness, can have it up so much louder and so far no rattles
