I was put on notice of redundancy today, wording in my letter says -

" Consequently , your role as supporting the long term planning role for international markets and ODP information systems reporting will be absorbed by analyst roles based in india. Therefore, I regret to inform you that your role is one that is at risk of redundancy.

Basically the highlighted is a nail in the coffin for me so , looks like i will be job hunting from tomorow

It didnt no

It was split between 2 people (more responsibilities)
I was told i was taking the promotion, i didnt sign anything to accept it,

I was pulled into the office and told that they were giving me a new position, (without the knowledge of my boss) knowing, i was sold the position as a promotion ( i was then told that any cash incentitives would be added once i was showing my worth to the business) my old position wasnt made redundant, i did operations for 9 countries, these were split between 2 people,

Currently on paper my contract is for my old role, i havent signed any contract for the new role i am in, only way you would know i changed positions is that am under another costcode.

so basically they have shafted u, by making u do another job for no extra cash... and for then making u redundant which wil only be calculated on ur old wage.

Really feel for you...
Times and money is no doubt tight already!! without this to contend with.

As I don't know your exact personal situation, I can only hope that something comes your way soon.

This sort of thing can really put a massive strain on family, marital and financial situations. I hope your partner can be strong through this with you.

Easy for me to say, but stay positive...
