    Default Odd "Water Noise"

    Hi

    Vectra 06 Facelift 1.8 Petrol

    Hi

When @ tick over there is odd noise what can only be described as water "burbling" as if running through pipes somewhere - increase the revs and its not noticble or has stopped.

its allmost like putting your ear to a house radiator and listing to the water going through or better example the noise a washing machine makes when its emptying the water through the waste pipe at the back. but only very slightly.

A odd noise i know but does anyone have any ideas - many thanks

I think one or two members have mentioned this noise. But I don,t think they "came back" to say that the head gasket had gone.Does it make this noise all the time, or is this the first time you have noticed it.

two days ago was the 1st time that i had noticed it, this morning it wasnt as noticble as before i havent checked any levels on the car yet only to say that temp sits in the middle of the car and the low oil level light goes out (not to be confused with the low pressure light)

I would keep an eye on the fliuds. But you might find you don,t hear this noise for quite a while "if ever" I don,t know what it is. Possibly an air lock, that will clear it,s self.

ok cheers Ed, ill check out the levels, if everything ok ill just keep a eye on it

If the levels are fine, there is no smoke coming out the back and it runs fine - then ill just keep a eye on it, as it all indicates that the head casket is fine

My wifes Mini used to do that we tried everything, bleeding cooling system etc. It turned out the problem was down to a slight leak in the thermostat housing.
