Thread: Oh dear....

    Default Oh dear....

There is a rumour on the grapevine that the new Insignia VXR (standard 325 BHP and capable of over 350 BHP remapped) has the same turbo fixings as the Vectra VXR engine...

So in theory, the bigger Insignia VXR turbo could be a straight swap onto the Vectra VXR.....

    Oh dear.....

Make sure we keep bumping this thread Steve!

Do you have any power increase figures if you were (when you) fit it?

I think its going to be very difficult to find a 'standard' unmodified Vectra VXR in the next 2 years.... the tuning companies are starting to open up all the options now.

Been told the chassis cant handle any more than 340 BHP... but that wont stop people - lol

May as well just dump the steering wheel as it'll end up being a tyre shredding arrow... Clarkson may have the last laugh after all

I wouldn't do it - remember the torque rating on the vectra gearbox, doubt it'd take much more before reducing itself to a bag of bolts.
Engine could take it easy, but drivetrain... it'll probably end in tears.
    IMO.
Better off just getting an Insignia VXR, might be the cheaper option.
