    Default Rotary Buffer/Polisher

Had one of these for my birthday but reading on Detailing World on how to use them and what damage they can do ive become very scared about using it. Im going to get plenty of practise on a scrap panel first untill im entirely confident.

But my question is has anyone used one of these or does anyone use these on a daily basis as a job? and could you provide me with tips and does and donts etc?

All help will be greatly appreciated! once ive took the plunge to do it on my own car pictures will be up! Thats if it goes well and i have all my paint left on my car! hehe

    Matt

Yeh full wash and clay first to remove all grit and dirt!

I think im going to buy a soft pad and a very low abbrasive polish so it only takes a very fine layer off, then maybe if the swirls are still visable go for a slight sharper abbrasive polish!

Would like a paint depth gauge but at £150 i think not!

    hi m8

I was the same when i got mine but asked on here a while ago now about how to use it.
i got a silverline orange and i was told to get some meqiures pads and start off with a fine cutting/polish compond and work my way up to the more aggresive comounds.

to be honest m8 if you take your time and start with the fine comounds and dont push on the polisher you cant really do any damage.
    just use your common sence.

ask lump m8 and he will explain as hes does it all the time.
