Default Car refuses to start! Help!

Sorry to start another thread but ive got a big problem. I taken the inlet manifold off to clean it, to do so i had to take off the 4 injector pipes... and now the car just wont start..

Im scared that if i keep cranking the car it may damage the fuel pump.. i have been trying for about 20 mins in short burst of 10 seconds but no luck ( battery died, on jump leads), is it ok to carry on until it starts? if not what are my options..

i ve made sure the union nuts are tight, all pipes and screws tight! done all the checks but seems theres just too much air in the fuel line, infact i full tanked the car just before the job to limit the air intake..

can someone please advise me, im gettin rather worried

Don't you crack the unions off while cranking it to bleed the air off from the pipes...?

you can crank the engine for 40 seconds with a 20 second rest for 3 times,vx then advise fitting an external fuel pump to bleed system ,dti's are renowned for bad first start after a fuel drain

oh my, how do i go about fitting an external pump!! the other option it to get towed and then try and start in forth gear as suggested, could i possibly do this with the AA or RAC?

do the unions needs to be on or off from the injectors, i noticed that quite abit of fuel leaked out from the unions...

by the way does the speed matter when trying to bleed the system on forth gear? would i be turning a key or simply lifting mt foot off the clutch? i hope rac will tow it

Get towed to a slight hill.
Into second, keep the clutch down and as you get up to a speed (let's say 20mph) start to pray it will start when you dump the clutch

That's how I brought ours back to life.
