    Default Auto dipping mirror..

..quick question please, when my interior mirror dips/turns blue, my offside mirror also does the same but not the nearside.
    2 questions:-

1 should all three mirrors dip?
2 can I turn it off short if putting tape over the sensor as it often drives me mad and dips at the slightest thing?

    thanks in advance
    Steve

You can unplug it from the REC, do you have autolights or autowipers though?

Cheers Andy, I sometimes find it a pita and wondered if I could switch it on and off myself and I also just wondered why the ns mirror does not dip?

Yes both, a small switch may be called for on the mirror body then just to over-ride the lux sensor. ta

Oh well, puts that idea out then... I do believe i saw a mention in tech2 for the 12volt supply to the interior mirror somewhere.

Simple way - a small piece of insulting tape over the light sensor below the mirror (not the one facing the screen). Cut it neatly and you'll probably not notice it. And being just a bit of tape, you can always remove it - no messingabout with electrics or tech2.
