thanks everyone for the ideas and rushy for the pics! the nut adaptor has literally nothing left.

as they are on so blummin tight, i decided the best course of action is to drill them, can anyone recommend a suitable drill bit for doing this, and has anyone every done it before? cheers everyone

yeah i tried it and it took me 3 hrs and roughly 8 drill bits and two screwdrivers, to get 1 off. Then as my reply in this thread, someone put me in contact with a tyre garage. I wouldnt recommend trying this yourself unless youve got bags of patience, 100s of drill bits, and a week off work....But then no i still wouldnt bother.

as i said earlier mate, use cobalt drill bit, i did mine in stages, 6mm 10mm and 12mm.

Push hard with the drill and pulse the trigger, (buzz buzz buzz) if you know what i mean.

Engineer by trade, so hope this helps

Constantly holding trigger on will just "blue" the wheel nut and make it harder to drill

cheers craig, am i drilling straight through the center of the nut? any of these drills bits good?

http://www.screwfix.com/prods/95497/...COBALT-_-95497 - even though it only goes up to 10mm.

    http://www.screwfix.com/prods/32213/...-HSS-Drill-Bit

are that brand the same thing? from the description they seem to have the same attributes?

cheers for all the ideas everyone, seriously im not pushing anyones ideas to the side - really appreciate all the help!!

first link mate but £30 ffs thats expensive, never realised as I dont pay for mine, you can buy them single from most wholesalers, midland fixing are quite good, crompton tools anywhere really. that kit is good but u really only need a few bits from it so its a little expensive.

For the price try the second ones.

You might want to take a look at
    http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Powe...its/d80/sd1230

We used these very bits at work to drill some stainless steel lights!!
They sell the bits individually, from 1mm to 13mm
