    Angry vectra 04 cdti 120 starting problem

    its taking along time to start any ideas its just had a new terbo fitted and now trying the crank sencer but still no luck help!!!!!

    start with basic's first..are all glow plug's ok and working

    ok been told by vx that it needs new ecu at the cost of £750 omg help are they right

    whats wrong with it......could you just plug another ecu in to see if there right?

    (you could on the older vauxhalls)

    In short no. A replacement ecu would need reprogramming with the existing immobiliser keys. At Vx...£60 at last check.

    Isn't that the standard 'We don't know what the hell is wrong so we'll replace the ECU' response that some dealers like to adopt?

    Here is an update new engine fitted well nealy new out of a car with 14000 miles on 07reg
    but starting sometings takes two turns of the key is this ok or should i take it back to the garage who fitted it thanks andy also could it be 3rd injector wiring.

    Hmm... I'm sure that's the case for my steering issue - they wanted me to have a new ECU and alternator...


    From what I've experienced, the CDTi 120 needs to be cranked a little when cold, it's perfectly normal
