    Default Padlock shows on display/screen

does anyone know anything about immobilizers??? was thinking of going to get another vectra to add to the collection but he said the only fault is..... (his words) IMOBILIZER IS LOCKED ON, PADLOCK SHOWS ON SCREEN AND WILL NOT START.. is this something easily solved, ie. not too expensive or is it not worth bothering with.. cheers

It's more common on a Corsa
The car needs to have a TEC2 diagnosis to check whether the immobiliser or central locking or central ECU has failed
They are all quite easy to get to, but you are looking at several hundreds for a new ECU

could have been a faulty key or a faulty ecu ...he may have fitted a ecu to try and fix a fault and ended up locking the imobilizer system ....
