    Default Manually unlock boot

    Hi Guys

I have a 54 vectra 1.9cdti Elite with an alternator problem and the battery is now flat.
The driver door can be unlocked with the key but is there any way to unlock the boot?

    Thanks in advance

    Daz

If key wont unlock it and its a hatchback i'm sure that you can could climb into boot and there's a small circle shaped part of plastic you can pop this off to reveal a square hole pop a screwdriver into it and turn it to unlock, sure some one will explain better than me

    Thanks,

There is no external keyhole on the boot.

I have just climbed into the boot and found the cover as you described (not opened yet as no screwdriver to hand and still officially working).

The other thing I noticed is that I always thought that the veccy boot was quite big but its not that big for a 6'2" bloke!

    Thanks again

Why did VX ever take that external keyhole away. I've used mine a few times.... must be a money saving thing! Typical

The logical answer would be to recharge or put a fully charged battery on the car.

Ha! I'm 6'6" and have a non-operational boot motor. Needless to say, after a few less than graceful entry attempts, I have decided that the rear seats will do just fine for now.

    Hi

Thanks for your posts, eventually "acquired" a charger and charged the battery.

    Cheers
