Default Exhaust help - sri estate

    Hello all

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but here we go. My exhaust is probably on the way out. the outer thin metal cover fell off the right hand rear box a few months ago, and although it recently passed an MOT, I think some or all of it may need replacing soon. The vauxhall MOT chap mentioned the usual enormous price, but I guess there may be a cheaper (and possibly better) alternative.

So, I guess the question is what should I go for, and how much. Not bothered about a performance increase particularily, just a cheaper alternative to the £400 per box that vauxhall were quoting!

Oh, it is a 53 plate 2.0turbo SRi estate with twin outlet exhausts that outlet somewhere under the rear of the car - no visible tailpipes.

    Cheers!

the exhausts are double skinned - the outer cover may have fallen off ...but the inner will be fine for a few years yet ...... unless you like parking it in large deep puddles which will decrease the time it would normally last

if you decide to change it anyway then as been said a full stainless set would be cheaper than a vx standard - and last a damn sight longer!

or you can wait for Blue estate's rear boxes which wont be about for long

0-Large smile ......every time it's driven

    Thanks guys, much appreciated.

The exhaust is not dead yet, and I think i'll leave it until it is knackered until i do change, but it is good to know that there are some cheaper, better alternatives.

    Many thanks!
