As the area is a bit dead i thought ide have a little grumble about the blue beasts problem,
So it all started nearly three weeks ago, had a little trip to berwick and drove back along the coastal route , was the only sunny day during my two weeks off.
All going nicely and was just finishing my massive ice cream from morwick ice cream parlour , popped the keys in the ignition turned battery on threw some stuff in the boot then went to the drivers window to turn her on and in doing so heard the biggest bang of my life.
Being an relatively inexperianced driver i didnt have a clue and drove about 50 metres , noticed the temp was rising quik and as i pulled over EML and battery light came on. I rang the AA who outsourced to a local company , whilst waiting i posted a thread which was promptly and correctly diagnosed as the crank pulley by Duncan (all to popular on the 2.2dti aparently).
So morning comes and the cars put in crank pulley belt tensioner replaced , i drive up the road and notice on idling and very low revs i.e (going up a curb) theres an awfull vibration , and its been to three mechanics and no one can find the problem , now when this vibration is erm vibrating the belt seems to wobble , so our next idea to put a genuine vx tensioner on , so its going on friday for that
FUN TIMES !!!!!!!!!!!!
