    Default De-cat pipe for a Vectra 2.0T

    Hi everyone,

Not been on for a while.

My 2.0T runs out of warranty next month & I was wondering if any other owners have fitted a de-cat pipe to theirs & was there any noticable difference?

The reason I ask is mine gets used on quite a lot of short journeys (2-5 miles) when I'm not driving it & my previous 2.5v6 clogged it's cat, wrecked the ERG valve & cracked & inlet manifold because of this.

So a de-cat pipe may save me a lot of money & the long run & maybe give me a small boost as a bonus.

Your thoughts please if you can.

If its anything like the 2.2 they de cating it is a big no no. The 2.5 V6 through to the 3.2 V6 is easily de catted as there is no O2 sensor after the cat but on the 2.2 and quite possibly the 2.0T there is, if so the car will just throw a huge fit and go into limp. A 100 cell sports cat will just get you by but you will constantly have to clear the EML, the 200 cell sports cat is better.
